How we write our articles
Last updated
MyPregnancy is made by Macca Design d.o.o., the company behind the MyBaby app. The articles on this site and in the app are written by the MyPregnancy editorial team.
Where the facts come from
Every article is based on published guidance from health bodies, such as the NHS, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the CDC. The pages each article relies on are listed under Sources at its end, with links, so you can read them yourself. Where US and UK advice differ, the website shows the US advice.
How an article is written
Each article answers one question and starts with the answer. The articles are drafted with the help of AI tools, from the sources listed at the end of each one. We do not publish advice that those sources do not give.
Medical review
Our articles have not yet been reviewed by a doctor or midwife, and each one says so at the top. When an article has been reviewed, it will name the reviewer and the date of the review.
Keeping them up to date
Each article shows the date its sources were last checked. Guidance changes, and when it does, we change the article.
No ads, no sponsors
There are no ads or sponsored articles on this site. Articles mention MyPregnancy's own features, such as the contraction timer, where they help.
Not medical advice
MyPregnancy records and measures. It does not give medical advice or decide what you should do. If you are worried about yourself or your baby, call your midwife, doctor or maternity unit. In an emergency, call 911 in the US or 999 in the UK.
Report a mistake
If you find something wrong or out of date, write to info@mypregnancyapp.io and name the article. We read every message.
