Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated
Draft for review. Not in force and not indexed. Open questions:
- Draft for Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373), Nevada SB 370 and Connecticut's consumer health data rules. Not legally reviewed. These laws let consumers sue (Washington), so a US privacy lawyer should read it before launch.
- Washington requires a prominent link to this policy on the homepage. It is in the footer of every page, the homepage included; confirm that is prominent enough.
- Consent: the laws allow collection without consent only where it is necessary for a service the consumer asked for. Everything listed here is that. Sharing with the people you invite is at your direction. Confirm, and note the onboarding consent question in the privacy policy review.
- Appeals: Connecticut requires an appeal process. Written here as a reply to the same address within 60 days; confirm.
This policy applies to people who live in Washington, Nevada, Connecticut, or another US state with a consumer health data law. It adds to our privacy policy, which describes everything in more detail. Macca Design d.o.o. ("we", "us") makes MyPregnancy.
The consumer health data we collect
Everything you record about your pregnancy in the app:
- your due date and how you set it
- contractions: their times, strength and notes
- your baby's movements: kick counting sessions, the time of each movement, and notes
- your weight, your height and your weight before pregnancy
- belly photos
- your birth plan and your hospital bag
- your maternity unit's or midwife's name and phone number
- after the birth: the date and time, and your baby's sex, weight and length
We also hold your account identifier, and the email address and name from Apple or Google if you sign in with them. Because the app is about a pregnancy, these can indicate that you are pregnant.
Where it comes from
From you, when you enter it, and from the people you invite to your pregnancy, when they add to it.
Why we collect and use it
Only to provide the app you asked for: to save what you record, show it to you on your iPhone and Apple Watch, share it with the people you invite, and run the timer, the kick counter, reminders, your baby's size by week and the PDF for your midwife. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Who receives it
- The people you invite to your pregnancy, because you choose to share it with them.
- Google Firebase, which stores it for us (database and photo storage).
- The person you send the PDF for your midwife to, when you share it from your phone.
- Resend, which emails us a copy of a support request you send from the app, and you our answer. Only what you write in the request.
RevenueCat, which manages Plus, and Apple receive no consumer health data. We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not use geofencing.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and get a copy of it
- see the list of everyone we have shared it with
- have it deleted
- withdraw your consent
You can delete your data yourself in the app: Settings › Your data › Delete everything, or your whole account in Settings › Account › Delete account. For anything else, write to info@mypregnancyapp.io from the email address on your account, or tell us your account's sign-in method so we can find it. We answer within 45 days. If we refuse your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer; we decide on the appeal within 60 days and tell you how to contact your state's attorney general if you disagree.
We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
