Privacy policy

Draft for review. Not in force and not indexed. Open questions:
- Draft written from the app's code on 1 Nov 2026 and from MyBaby's policy. Not legally reviewed. MyBaby's policy was reviewed on 30 Aug 2026; that review does not cover this text.
- Company details: no postal address or OIB here, as in MyBaby's policy. GDPR asks for the controller's identity and contact details; confirm the address should be added.
- Section 9: health data in the EEA and UK needs explicit consent (GDPR Art. 9). The lead is adding a consent step to Welcome and onboarding (1 Nov); this section is true once that ships.
- Section 11: MyPregnancy's anonymous accounts are never deleted automatically (the app stays out of MyBaby's 90-day sweep on purpose). Keep it that way, or add an inactivity rule?
- Section 10: the commitments on requests from authorities (valid legal process only, notify the user where allowed) are a policy decision. Confirm or change.
- Section 14: minimum age. MyBaby says 16 without parental consent. Pregnancy apps are used by under-18s; confirm the age and wording.
- Section 18: asking for consent again in the app before a change applies is a promise the app cannot keep yet (no in-app notice). Keep it and build the notice, or soften to an email to signed-in users?
- Section 12: there is no export of the raw data in the app; the PDF covers contractions, kicks and the birth plan. Access requests go by email. Fine, or add an export?
1. Who we are
MyPregnancy is an app for iPhone and Apple Watch made by Macca Design d.o.o., a company registered in Croatia ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here.
Contact: info@mypregnancyapp.io
This policy covers the MyPregnancy app and this website. MyBaby, our baby tracker, has its own privacy policy. The two apps share one account; see Section 4. If you live in Washington, Nevada or Connecticut, also read our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
2. The short version
- What you record about your pregnancy is health information. We use it only to run the app for you.
- We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising. The app shows no ads and contains no analytics or advertising code.
- Only you, and the people you invite to your pregnancy, can see it.
- You can delete single entries, everything you recorded, or your whole account in the app, at any time.
3. What the app stores
3.1 Your pregnancy
Everything below is stored only when you enter it or use the feature:
- Your due date, and whether you set it from the due date, your last period or an IVF transfer
- Your name and your baby's name
- Your height, your weight before pregnancy and the weights you record
- Contractions you time: when each started and ended, how strong it was, and any note
- Kick counting sessions: when each started and ended, the time of each movement, and any note
- The contraction rule you save, such as 5-1-1
- Your hospital bag checklist and your birth plan answers
- Belly photos you add, with the date and any caption
- The name and phone number of your maternity unit or midwife
- After the birth, if you record it: the date and time, and your baby's sex, weight and length
- Which accounts belong to the pregnancy: yours, and those of anyone you invited (Section 6)
3.2 Your account
When you first open the app, it creates an anonymous account: an identifier with no name or email address, so that what you record has somewhere to be saved.
If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the email address and name that Apple or Google gives us. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email address; we then receive a relay address from Apple instead. Signing in keeps the same account and everything in it.
3.3 Purchases
If you buy MyPregnancy Plus, Apple processes the payment. We never see your card details. We receive whether you have Plus, which plan, and when it renews or ends (Section 8, RevenueCat).
3.4 When you write to us
If you report a bug, ask for a feature or ask a question in the app, we store your message, its category, the email address you give us (if any), whether you have Plus, the app's language, and the app version, iOS version, device model and time zone, so we can reproduce a problem. Our answers are stored with it. You can delete a request in the app at any time.
3.5 What we do not collect
The app does not collect your location, your contacts, data from Apple Health, or the advertising identifier (IDFA). It does not record how you use the app, and it contains no crash-reporting or analytics service. If you allow it in your iPhone's settings, Apple shares crash reports with app developers; those contain no pregnancy data.
4. One account with MyBaby
MyPregnancy and MyBaby use the same sign-in. If you sign in to both apps with the same Apple or Google account, it is one account.
Your pregnancy data is stored apart from the data you keep in MyBaby. MyBaby does not read it.
Deleting your account in MyPregnancy deletes that shared sign-in, so you can no longer sign in to MyBaby with it either. The app says so before you confirm. What happens to the data you kept in MyBaby is described in MyBaby's privacy policy.
5. How we use it
We use the data in Section 3 only to:
- show it to you on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and keep it the same on every device you sign in on
- let the people you invite see and add to your pregnancy
- run the features you use: the timer's totals, the alert when your contraction rule is met, kick reminders, your baby's size by week, and the PDF for your midwife
- know whether you have Plus
- answer you when you write to us, in the app and by email if you gave us an address
We do not use your pregnancy data for advertising, profiling, selling, or training AI models. The app has no AI features.
6. Sharing your pregnancy with a partner
You can invite someone to your pregnancy with an 8-character code from the app. A code works for 7 days. Anyone who joins with it can see and add to everything in the pregnancy, including photos, until you remove them or they leave. A pregnancy can have up to six members. Give the code only to people you trust.
If you delete everything you recorded, the pregnancy is deleted for every member. If you joined someone else's pregnancy and delete your account, you leave it; the pregnancy stays with its owner.
7. On your devices
- Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. While you time contractions, the number of contractions and their timings show on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Anyone who can see your phone can see them, also while it is locked.
- Notifications. The alert when your contraction rule is met and the kick reminder are created on your phone. They do not go through our servers. Their text can appear on your Lock Screen.
- Apple Watch. The app on your watch and the app on your phone exchange data directly.
- PDF for your midwife. The PDF is made on your phone. It leaves your phone only when you share it, and then goes where you send it.
- Offline. The app keeps a copy of your data on your phone so it works without a connection, and saves your changes when you are back online.
8. Services we use
These companies process personal data for us. None of them receives your pregnancy data for its own purposes.
- Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited, Google LLC): sign-in (Firebase Authentication), the database that holds everything in Section 3.1 (Cloud Firestore), and storage for your photos (Cloud Storage). The database and your photos are stored in the European Union.
- Apple and Google sign-in: only if you choose to sign in with them.
- RevenueCat, Inc.: keeps track of whether you have Plus. It receives your account identifier, your App Store purchase records, and technical details such as device model, iOS version, app version and IP address. It receives no pregnancy data. Processed in the United States.
- Resend, Inc.: sends the emails about your support requests: a copy of your message to us, and our answer to the address you gave. Processed in the United States.
- Apple: the App Store, payments and refunds.
- Vercel Inc.: hosts this website (Section 16). Processed in the United States.
We share personal data with no one else, except when the law requires it (Section 10) or if our company is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.
9. Legal basis (EEA and UK)
- Your pregnancy data is health data. We process it on the basis of your explicit consent. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your data or your account in the app.
- Your account and Plus: to provide the service you asked for (contract).
- Keeping the service secure and working: our legitimate interests.
- Accounting and legal duties: legal obligation.
10. Requests from authorities
We disclose personal data to a government or court only when the law requires it, and only on a valid legal request. We check each request, disclose no more than it requires, and tell you about it unless the law forbids us to. We do not hand over pregnancy data on an informal request.
11. How long we keep it
- Your pregnancy data and photos: until you delete them, delete everything, or delete your account. Deleting removes them from our database and photo storage straight away. We keep no backups of them; Google then clears deleted data from its own systems on its standard schedule.
- Your account: until you delete it. Anonymous accounts are not deleted automatically.
- Support requests: until you delete them or your account.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
12. Your rights
You can see and correct your data in the app at any time. You can delete it in Settings › Your data › Delete everything, and your account in Settings › Account › Delete account.
You also have the right to:
- get a copy of your personal data
- have it corrected or deleted
- restrict or object to how we process it
- receive it in a format you can move to another service
- withdraw your consent
Write to info@mypregnancyapp.io. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Croatia, the Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP), or the authority where you live.
For rights under US state health-data laws, see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
13. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. The database rules let only the members of a pregnancy read or change it. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
14. Children
MyPregnancy is not meant for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from them without a parent's consent. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.
15. International transfers
Your pregnancy data and photos are stored in the European Union. Firebase Authentication, which holds your sign-in details, RevenueCat, Resend and Vercel may process data in the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the company is certified under it, and otherwise on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
16. This website
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Our host, Vercel, records requests (the page, the time, your browser type and IP address) to keep the site running. Links to the App Store take you to Apple, which has its own privacy policy.
17. Not medical advice
MyPregnancy records and measures. It does not give medical advice or decide what you should do. If you are worried about yourself or your baby, call your midwife, doctor or maternity unit.
18. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your pregnancy data, we will ask for your consent again in the app before it applies.
